Langar Sewa Booking
-
Once, Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s father gave him twenty rupees and sent him to do business. On his way, Guru Ji met a group of hungry saints who had nothing to eat. Instead of buying goods to make profit, Guru Ji spent all the money to feed them. When he returned home, he said, *“I have done a Sacha Sauda — a true trade.”* From that day, Guru Nanak Dev Ji started the tradition of *Langar*, where everyone—rich or poor, Hindu or Muslim—sat together and shared the same food, proving that before God, all are equal.
-
Through Langar, Guru Ji taught us that *true worship is in serving others. Every meal served in the Gurdwara is a gift of love and humility. When we do **sewa* or contribute *donations for Langar, we continue Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s mission of feeding the hungry and spreading equality. **Your one act of giving becomes a part of Guru Ji’s eternal “Sacha Sauda.”*
